Ubuntu Youth Organization-UYO

Ubuntu Youth Organization (UYO) is a dynamic, local, refugee-led non-profit initiative, founded by a dedicated group of refugees and Kenyans in February 2016 as a Self-Help Group, born from the harsh realities faced by urban refugees in urban areas. Ubuntu Youth Organization has now officially registered as a Community Based Organization (CBO) in 2023 under the department of social development in Nairobi, Kenya.

UYO is driven by a diverse group of dynamic refugees and Kenyans who firmly believe that united people are the power of creating a better future. We are convinced that displaced individuals possess immense potential to contribute meaningfully to building sustainable and economically empowered communities, not just in Dagoretti but far beyond borders.
